The Lastinger Learning Early Childhood “Supporting Learning in Preschool Classrooms” course provides preschool teachers with strategies designed to improve classroom instruction.

Program Overview

The Supporting Learning in Preschool Classrooms course is a free online, asynchronous course made up of five cycles.

Eligible Participants

The Supporting Learning in Preschool Classrooms course is free and offered to School Readiness & VPK providers in Florida. The target audience for this course includes the following working to support preschool classrooms:

  • Educators
  • Family Child Care Providers
  • Directors
  • Owners
  • Program Leaders

Format

The SLP course is online and asynchronous. The five cycles include:

  • Foundations of Supporting Learning
  • Supporting Children as They Develop Concepts
  • Incorporating Effective Feedback
  • Nurturing and Supporting Language Development
  • Mastery

Successful completion is defined by earning an 80% or better in the course.

As an IACET Accredited Provider, the UF Lastinger Center offers IACET CEUs for its learning events that comply with the ANSI/IACET Continuing Education and Training Standard.
