Science of Reading Professional Learning for K-5 Educators
This professional learning experience is grounded in the Science of Reading and aligned with key theories that build towards reading comprehension in grades K-5.
Program Overview
Educators build expertise through professional learning in explicit instruction and reading development while practicing new skills with interactive activities. The professional learning is complemented by the Lastinger Literacy Playbooks, a structured suite of ready-made resources that educators can use to impact their instructional practice and student literacy outcomes.
Each playbook is aligned with the Science of Reading and a major domain of reading development:
- Phonological awareness
- Early decoding
- Advanced decoding
- Fluency

By the end of the program:
