New Worlds Reading Teacher Professional Learning

The New Worlds Reading Teacher Professional Learning, created in partnership with the Florida Department of Education and the UF Lastinger Center for Learning, is a FREE professional learning opportunity for Florida educators.

Program Overview

This program consists of in-person training and resources to take back to the classroom that connect the New Worlds Reading home book delivery program to literacy instruction.  

Eligible Participants

  • K-5 classroom teachers in Florida’s public schools, including public charter schools
  • VPK lead teachers and aides who work at a VPK contracted provider

Components

  • Training and resources that connect the New Worlds Reading home book delivery program to classroom-based literacy instruction
  • One-day, in-person institute
  • 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST
  • Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided
