Math Language Routine 8: Think, Ink, Pair, Share

Instructor: So first, I’m going to give you this, and I want you all to look at number three. First, I just want you to think about the problem. Just take a minute, read number three.

Now what I would like you to do, is to go ahead write down any initial thoughts you have about this problem.

Now that everyone has something written, what I would love for you to do is turn and talk to the person sitting next to you. We’re going to pair up and you’re going to share what you thought about the problem so far. Go ahead and turn and talk.
